Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Physician

Dr Galvin practises across anaesthesia and pain medicine, with a focus on the holistic management of chronic and complex pain. Her approach combines thorough clinical assessment with structured, personalised treatment planning and, where appropriate, minimally invasive interventional pain procedures.

Training & Education

Dr Galvin graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2008. She completed specialist training in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Management in 2017, followed by a dedicated Pain Medicine Fellowship. She was awarded the Fellowship in Pain Medicine by examination in May 2019.

Minimally invasive interventional procedures, including epidurals, joint and musculoskeletal injections, steroid injections (rhizolysis), radiofrequency ablation (rhizotomy), and pulsed radiofrequency treatments”

Research / Academic Activity

Dr Galvin is currently undertaking an MD in Pain Medicine at Trinity College Dublin. She has published multiple peer-reviewed papers on pain-related topics.
